Our Project

Burlington House - London

Project Overview:
This project focused on restoring the entrance and modernising the stairwell of Burlington House, combining classic elegance with contemporary updates. The aim was to enhance both the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the space, creating a welcoming first impression for residents and visitors.

Design & Planning:
Our team worked closely with the client to develop a design that respects the building’s character while introducing modern elements. The layout was carefully considered to improve flow and maximise natural light in the stairwell area.

Construction & Craftsmanship:
The project included comprehensive surface preparation, fresh high-quality paintwork, the installation of new flooring, and upgraded lighting. Attention to detail was key, ensuring that every element — from the handrail finish to the flooring transitions — was completed to the highest standard.

Outcome:
The restored entrance and modernised stairwell now offer a bright, inviting, and elegant environment. The combination of fresh paint, new flooring, and modern lighting enhances both the style and functionality of the space, demonstrating GLS Building Contractors Ltd’s ability to merge traditional structures with contemporary design and expert craftsmanship.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Working with Dimitar and his team at GLS was great. They did a kitchen reno for us and we are very happy with the results. While the reno did take longer than expected, Dimitar made the process very easy. I was previously residing over an hour away from our new home, so commuting was difficult.

He ensured that he sent picture updates regularly through WhatsApp, asked questions when he needed clarification, and requested for in-person meetings when needed. His team also kindly received all our packages for us. If there was something that we weren't happy about, he was open to making it right.

They also give you ample time to find issues and will come back to fix them. For example, my dishwasher and one of the outlets wasn't working so he arranged time for his team to come by to resolve the issue.

I would love to work with GLS again and highly recommend them.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our Victorian House in Ealing was in need of total refurbishment.
Friend of mine recommended GLS building contractors - as reputable builder in Ealing area.
It was substantial load of works. New extension and about 40m2 of loft. 3 bathrooms and kitchen, also underfloor heating all over the house.
Dimitar made all that process to look very easy and finished with high standard and unparalleled quality. All operatives of the company are very experienced and masters in their trade - real craftsmen.
Fantastic experience ! Thank you.
